About Me
Hello! So I’m Hanna, a Sussex girl through and through. I grew up on the outskirts of Eastbourne, which is where I still live today, with my Canadian husband. I spent over 15 years travelling the world working on cruise ships as a singer. I have a love for travel, experiencing new things and meeting different people from all walks of life, which I think were the biggest things I took away from that career - as well as my husband, haha! Of course, I do have a love for music, theatre and performance art in general and always try and go to as many shows as I can, when I have the time.
When the pandemic hit, this is when my husband and I finally decided to put down some roots and call it a day on our cruise ship careers, albeit unplanned! It wasn’t the smoothest of transitions as the entertainment world had been put on pause so I decided to do my Diploma in Marketing and Events Management, which is something I had always seen myself doing. This gave me a broad education in all things events based and made me realise that I might want to specialise in a certain area. I knew I wasn’t so fond of stepping into the corporate world and wanted to work on a more personal level. I did some research and that is how I came to the idea of being a Celebrant.
The fact that this hadn’t dawned on me years earlier has always been a mystery. My husband and I got married in Canada in 2018, where celebrants are common practice. And the more I thought back to our wedding day, the more I thought that was something I wanted to help other people experience. We had the most personal ceremony, just by pure chance, and I want everyone to be able to have the memories that we hold.
